Our Mission: Worship, Grow, Serve & Multiply

In a world of conflicting perspectives and opposing views, we are a community of people united by the good news found in God’s Son, Jesus Christ. If you want to know how this message can change your life, we invite you to join us in this journey of experiencing Jesus in everyday life. Visit us Sundays at 9:30 a.m. or contact us at 559-686-5345.

An Opportunity To Reach Out

This Saturday, October 27 from 5-8PM on K Street, Sunrise will be participating in an event called the “Jack O’Lantern Jubilee” sponsored by Radiant Church and the Downtown Business Association.  We’ll be sponsoring an information/prayer booth, and also a game booth for children. This is a great opportunity to engage our community, pray for those in need, and share the love of Christ. We are still looking for a few willing servants to help with both the information and game booths.  If you can give an hour to help reach out, contact Pastor Russ at (559) 351-2609.

“Engaging In Spiritual Conversations”

This Sunday at Sunrise, Pastor Russ will be sharing the second installment of our new message series, “Say Something.” This week’s message is based on Romans 10:8-15.  We encourage you to read that Scripture beforehand and to come with a heart ready to worship Lord. As always, we begin at 9:30AM.

Tulare United Service

This Sunday, October 28 at 5PM, we have a wonderful opportunity to gather with other Christians in our community through the Tulare United worship event. This will take place at the Living Christ Church, 2516 North M Street in Tulare.  After worship, there will be a time of dessert and fellowship. Jesus is seen more clearly when His people lift Him up together, so let’s be united!

Visit Imago

Last week at Sunrise, Pastor Russ issued an invitation and a challenge for all who attend Sunrise to visit Imago church at least once between now and the end of the year.  Imago’s Sunday worship time is also 9:30AM, and takes place at 4400 W. Tulare in Visalia. Please keep praying for Pastor Carlos and the Imago team as they reach out to people who need the hope of Jesus Christ!

No Activities Next Wednesday

Next Wednesday, October 31, there will be no Family Night activities at Sunrise.  We encourage everyone to have a safe evening. SHinE, Transformed, and our men’s and women’s studies will resume on Wednesday, November 7 at 6PM.

Helping the Mission to Costa Rica

On Saturday, November 3 at 6PM you are invited to try Costa Rican food and learn about the work God has been doing over the last 4 years through efforts to underserved communities in this country.  This special event will take place at the Activity Center at Tulare Community Church 1820 North Gem St. Tickets are $35, or $250 for a table of 8. Please contact Martin Mora at 559-217-0086. We hope to see you there!

Annual Congregational Meeting

On Sunday November 11, as part of our morning worship, Sunrise will be holding its annual Congregational Meeting.  Our goal is to celebrate God’s blessings in the past year and to look forward to the coming year of ministry. As part of our time together, we’ll be selecting new Servant Team leaders for 2019 and also affirming our ministry spending plan (or budget) for the new year.  All Sunrise mission partners are urged to be present, and any who attend worship are invited to be present. Mission partners should receive a letter soon with more details about this important meeting.

Be Built Up In Faith

Every Sunday at 8:30AM you have a great opportunity to be built up in your relationship with God through our Faith Principles Class, located in the SERVE room. Each week, our Sunrise elders discuss a significant Bible truth in question and answer format.  We invite you to be a part of it. No previous experience is necessary in order for you to benefit from this class.

Get Close To God’s Word

Many people at Sunrise are walking through Bible by reading two chapters every day. This week we will begin the book of Hosea and continue with the book of Psalms.  Reading plans are available on our information tables, the literature rack in the lobby, or from our Sunrise Facebook page. You can also download the YouVersion app on your smartphone.  If you need help getting started, contact Pastor Russ at (559) 351-2609.
